What is Claravo?
A workspace that turns a brief, your files, a spreadsheet or web research into an editable presentation or a written document (a report, memo or brief), and lets you check the numbers in it against its sources. You edit it, share it with a link, present or read it, or download it for PowerPoint or Word.
Does it make up numbers?
It is told to write only from your sources and to cite them. You can then check the numbers on the slides against those sources in one click; anything it cannot find there is marked, so nothing unsupported passes silently. See how numbers are checked.
What can I start from?
A written brief, files (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, CSV, TSV, TXT, MD, VTT, SRT; up to 25 MB each), a web page address, or research on the web with the sources cited.
How much can I store?
Each account has room for its own files: files and web pages you add, pictures (yours, stock and AI images, logos, and pictures from PowerPoint files you open), PowerPoint templates, and the designs kept from imported PowerPoint files. Settings → Files shows how much room you have and what you use, with your largest files to delete. Exports and data downloads do not count. In a team, each person's own files count to them. Something that would go over is refused, and nothing of it is kept; nothing already stored is deleted because of the limit.
Which languages can it write in?
English, Español (Spanish), Français (French), Deutsch (German), Português do Brasil (Brazilian Portuguese), Italiano (Italian), Nederlands (Dutch), हिन्दी (Hindi), العربية (Arabic), עברית (Hebrew), 简体中文 (Chinese, Simplified), 日本語 (Japanese), 한국어 (Korean).
Will the PowerPoint file open properly?
Every PowerPoint file is reopened and checked before the download is offered, and text stays in editable text boxes. On 23 October 2026 a set of 16 test files (charts, icons, tables, groups, speaker notes, company templates, Word and Excel files) was opened in desktop PowerPoint, Word and Excel for Windows: every one opened with no repair prompt. Charts are exported as PowerPoint charts carrying their data. PowerPoint on the web and on Mac has not been tried yet.
Can I check a deck made in another tool?
Yes. Check a deck opens a PowerPoint, Word or PDF file made anywhere (or text you paste), with the files it was built from, and looks up each number in those files; years and small counts such as "3 steps" are left out, and the report says so. No AI runs for it, so it is free on every plan and is not counted as a creation.
Can it write a report instead of slides?
Yes. Choose Document on the create page: it writes sections of prose on A4 or Letter pages, with charts computed from your spreadsheets and each chart captioned with its source. Download it for Word or as a PDF. A presentation can be turned into a document and back from the editor; you see what changes before anything does.
What counts as a creation?

A deck, document or carousel that Claravo makes, or an AI rewrite of a whole one that you keep. In full:

  • Counted: each deck, document or carousel Claravo makes, and each rebuild from its outline unless a plan says rebuilds are free, with or without a language model.
  • Counted: an AI-written Adapt copy, as one creation, when it rewrites at least one slide; and a translated copy, as one creation, when it translates at least one slide.
  • Counted: Improve the writing and an Ask AI request for the whole deck, each as one creation, when you apply a result that rewrites at least one slide and it is saved. Making a preview, discarding it, or an Apply that is refused costs nothing, and several previews followed by one Apply cost one.
  • Deep web research can count as more than one creation, as each plan says, once the web search has run, even when no page could be cited. It counts as one when the research fails or does not run.
  • Premium quality can count as more than one creation, as each plan says; so can rebuilding a Premium deck from its outline on a plan that counts rebuilds. With deep research too, the extra creations add up.
  • Not counted: turning one kind into another, importing a PowerPoint file, copies from a template, and filled-in merge copies.
  • Not counted: editing by hand, exporting, sharing and presenting.
  • Never counted: a run that fails or that you cancel.
  • Ask AI requests about one slide are not creations. Every Ask AI request, Improve the writing included, is counted apart, against their own allowance on each plan.
  • You see how many creations you have left before each run.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from Settings at any time. A paid plan stays until the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to the free plan. Your decks stay.
Is my content used to train AI?
Not by Claravo, on any plan: Claravo trains no models on your content. The AI services that write for it (Anthropic, and OpenAI when AI images are on) say they do not train on what is sent through their APIs by default; that is their policy, under their current terms. The privacy notice lists exactly which outside services receive what, and why.
Can my team work on decks together?
Yes: teams with roles (admin, editor, commenter) and comments on slides. Several people can have a deck open at once and see who else is in it. When one saves, changes to different parts are merged; if two people changed the same item, the second is told who changed it and reloads the saved copy before going on. There is no keystroke-by-keystroke co-editing yet.
Is there help inside the app?
Yes: "Ask Claravo", the round button in the corner of every page once you are signed in. Ask it how to do something, or ask it to do it: find or open a deck, interview you to fill in a brief, edit the open deck, or export it. It changes nothing by itself: anything that would change your work waits for you to press "Do it". Where the site offers a voice, it can read its replies aloud.
What does "Made with Claravo" mean?
While a deck's owner is on the free plan, its share links and present mode show a small "Made with Claravo" line. Publishing as a web page is not part of the free plan. On a paid plan none of them carry it, and downloaded files never do.
